Discover Scuba Diving

Discover Scuba Diving
Are you ready to give it a try?

Have you always wondered what it is like to be able to breathe underwater? If you want to try diving, but are not yet ready for a complete course that ends with a "certification" (ie with a PADI diving license), Discover Scuba Diving (often referred to as "trial diving") is just that Right for you. PADI diving centers offer this program either in a swimming pool, in the shallow water in front of the beach or from a diving boat. You can try diving on vacation or at the weekend in our dive center. Discover Scuba Diving is not a diving course with “certification”, but a quick and easy introduction, in which you dive into the underwater world a little with a diving device.

In order to register for a PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, you must be at least 10 years old. You don't need any previous diving experience, but you need to be in good health.

You will learn the basic safety guidelines and skills that you need for diving, under the direct supervision ("supervision") of a PADI professional. If you are diving in open water, for example in a lake or in the sea, you will practice some diving skills in relatively shallow water to prepare for your underwater adventure.

Be ready:
- To a review of the diving equipment you will be using and how easy it is to move underwater.
- To get to know the feeling when you can breathe underwater.
- To learn the most important skills you need when diving.
- Have fun swimming around and exploring the underwater environment.
- To inform you how to become a "certified" diver with the PADI Open Water Diver course (ie a diver with a PADI diver ID).

Your PADI instructor Peter will provide you with all the basic equipment you will use; this includes a diving mask, a snorkel, fins, a regulator (also called "regulator"), a buoyancy compensator, various instruments and a bottle with the air we breathe.

Call or email us to learn more about the equipment you need to start your underwater adventure with the Discover Scuba Diving program.
